BIO:

Initially I went into Mechanical engineering out of high school, but switched to pharmacy after only 1 semester. A friend of mine who is a pharmacist convinced me into switching to Pharmacy and coming to work at Yinger Pharmacy Shoppe.

I worked part-time here at Yinger Pharmacy all throughout college until I graduated this past spring and became a full-time pharmacist. I enjoy working at an independent pharmacy because you get to know all the customers by name, and the atmosphere is a lot more relaxed and friendly than your typical chain-drug stores.

BIO:

I had to write a paper for 11th grade English on a specific career and decided to interview one of my parents best friends, Jim Yinger. He told me I should think about Pharmacy as a career because it was a great field to go into and he thought I would really enjoy it. Jim joked about opening a pharmacy for me to manage one day if I became a Pharmacist. Twelve years later we opened Jim's second location on Monroe St.

The best thing about being a Pharmacist is talking to the customers and trying to make things a little easier for them to understand. Whether it's their medication or an insurance problem, I want them to feel better when they walk out than they did when they walked in.
